Insurance firm manager siphons Rs 1.47 crores from NRI policyholders, booked

THE Pune city police have launched a search for a senior manager working for an insurance major in Pune who allegedly tampered with key entries of Non Resident Indian (NRI) policy holders and siphoned unclaimed maturity amounts of at least five policies totalling to at least Rs 1.47 crores. The police officers believe that the suspect specifically chose the NRI policies because of the delays in claiming maturity amounts.
