Government may have good news for Apple, Google, Vivo and others ‘making’ phones in India

The Indian government is reportedly planning to offer rewards to companies exceeding production, sales, and export targets of mobile phones every financial year under the mobile phone production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme. According to a report by Economic Times, a senior government official said that some companies have consistently met their production, sales and export targets under the PLI scheme.
