UK Home Secretary orders review of foreign hiring trends in tech and engineering sectors

The Home Secretary of the United Kingdom has asked the UK Migration Advisory Committee to examine the occupational categories related to engineering and information technology. The goal of the analysis is to understand why companies in some industries rely too heavily on hiring people from abroad to fill skill shortages in their workforces.
