GUWAHATI: The Assam police arrested 38 persons for their alleged involvement in an online trading scam, reportedly involving Rs 2,200 crore. The accused were arrested from different parts of the state over the past few days.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma advised people to be wary and not fall into the traps of fraudsters.
“Thirty-eight people have been arrested so far and further investigation is on. I request people not to fall into such traps. Nobody has the magic to give 25% to 30% interest,” Sarma told the media on Wednesday.
