UPI set to expand reach across nations, says RBI governor

The Governor of the Reserve Bank of India Shaktikanta Das expressed optimism about the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) expanding into more nations. “We expect this to grow further at the global level and internationalise in future.”

Using QR codes and the connection of quick payment systems, Das, who is currently on a five-day visit to Odisha, stated that UPI is already available in many countries and that negotiations are in progress with several other countries.
