A Brazilian Supreme Court judge has mandated the “immediate and complete suspension” of Elon Musk’s social media platform, X (formerly Twitter), in Brazil.
Judge Alexandre de Moraes issued the ruling due to X’s failure to comply with court orders and pay existing fines. X has been given 24 hours to appoint a new legal representative or face a nationwide ban, as reported by BBC.
Judge Moraes has also instructed Apple and Google to remove X from their app stores within five days. Users who attempt to access X through VPNs could face fines of R$50,000 (£6,700), according to a report by BBC.
