Qualcomm may launch a more affordable 8-Core Snapdragon X Plus

Qualcomm is set to introduce a new 8-core Snapdragon X Plus processor aimed at powering laptops priced under $800, according to recent leaks. The chipmaker plans to officially unveil the Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 on September 4 at IFA Berlin.
The new chip will feature 8 Oryon CPU cores, with a maximum single-core frequency of 3.4 GHz and a multi-core frequency of 3.2 GHz.
Meanwhile, the initial model of Snapdragon X Plus has 10 Oryon CPU cores, and is badged X1P-64-100. It retains the 45 TOPS NPU found in other Snapdragon X series processors but comes with a less powerful Adreno GPU rated at 1.7 TFLOPS.
