Four days after his dramatic arrest at a French airport, Telegram Chief Executive Pavel Durov is still unlikely to know until late tonight or early tomorrow whether he faces charges for allegedly allowing criminals to run amok on the messaging app.
Under local laws, Durov’s detention can’t last beyond 8 p.m. Paris time — a total of 96 hours of police questioning. When that ends, the 39-year-old must be brought before an investigative judge at the Paris judicial court in the north of the capital.
