iOS 18.1 beta introduces Clean Up, an AI-powered image-editing tool similar to Google’s Magic Editor

Apple has introduced a new AI-powered image-editing tool called Clean Up, which allows users to remove unwanted objects from photos. This feature works like Google’s Magic Editor, a tool available for free on both Android and iOS devices via the Google Photos app.

Currently, the Clean Up tool is limited to the 3rd developer beta of iOS 18.1, available only on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Other eligible iPhones running the iOS 18 developer beta 8 do not have access to this new photo editing tool, although the update does include generative AI summaries from all apps.
