Brazil’s Supreme Court has issued a warning to X, formerly known as Twitter, threatening to shut down the platform’s operations in the country if Elon Musk fails to appoint a legal representative.
The court’s decision comes in response to X’s repeated failure to comply with court orders related to hate speech and misinformation. Despite multiple warnings, the social media giant has not appointed a legal representative in Brazil, making it difficult for authorities to enforce court rulings.
