France to trial phone ban in schools: Here is what other countries law say about it

France is taking a significant step to curb smartphone usage among young people. The country is set to pilot a ban on mobile phones for students up to the age of 15, aiming to provide children with a much-needed “digital pause.”

According to The Guardian, nearly 200 secondary schools will participate in the experiment, requiring students to surrender their phones upon arrival.

This measure goes beyond a 2018 law that prohibited phone use on school premises but allowed students to retain possession of their devices.
