Telegram may be banned in India if ‘these charges come true’

According to a report in Moneycontrol, the popular messaging app is facing increasing scrutiny from the Indian government over its alleged role in facilitating criminal activities such as extortion and gambling. The Indian government too is reported to have launched an investigation into the platform, with the potential for a ban depending on the findings.
