Steve Jobs’ Apple-1 computer sells for Rs 2.6 crore in auction of rare tech items

The Apple-1 computer, one of the first personal computers sold by the tech giant, fetched $315,914 (Rs 2.6 crore approx) in an auction recently organised by an auction house based in Boston, US.

The computer board built by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak was restored to full working condition and had been gifted by the founders of the company to Dana Redington, Apple’s first applications engineer. Interestingly, Jobs was reportedly about to throw away the computer board along with other items when moving offices back in 1978.
