A new bug affecting iPhones has been discovered that can cause devices to crash when a specific Unicode character is displayed. According to a report by TechCrunch, a security expert discovered that entering a specific sequence of characters, “::”, can lead to a critical crash on Apple’s home screen interface.
Times of India’s tech team too was able to replicate the crash by typing: “::” — into the search fields of both the Settings app and the App Library.
