Suchi Semicon to invest $100 mn in Gujarat semiconductor OSAT plant, create 1,200 jobs

NEW DELHI: Suchi Semicon, a Surat-based semiconductor manufacturing company, said on Wednesday it is investing $100 million to set up Gujarat’s first Semiconductor Assembly and Testing (OSAT) plant by November 2024.

Spanning 30,000 square feet initially, the plant will have the capacity to produce up to 3 million chips per day, and will serve key sectors such as consumer electronics, automobiles, telecom, and wearables.

The facility is set to create up to 1,200 jobs, supporting local economic growth, the company estimates.
