Why Google Pixel 9 phones don’t support Qi 2 wireless charging

While the Google Pixel 9 series boasts impressive features, one notable omission has caught the attention of many is the absence of Qi2 wireless charging. Despite the newer standard offering faster charging speeds, improved energy efficiency, and magnetic alignment capabilities, Google has opted to stick with the older Qi standard.

The company has justified its decision by stating that Qi chargers are more widely available and that Qi2 doesn’t offer significant advantages.
