Pune’s PMPML sees uptick in online payments but most commuters still opt for cash payments

After grappling with network issues and initial reluctance from bus conductors to accept online payments, the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has finally started to see a steady surge in digital transactions for bus tickets.

From a meagre 0.8 per cent in October last year, online payments have risen to around 4 per cent as of July this year, marking a noticeable improvement.
