AI Overviews on Google Search arrives in India with Hindi option, text-to-speech feature

AI-generated summaries on Google Search will soon be visible to users in India as the tech giant announced on Thursday, August 15, that it is expanding AI Overviews to markets outside the US in the next few weeks.

Besides India, the generative AI feature is being rolled out in the United Kingdom, Japan, Indonesia, Mexico, and Brazil. It means that users in these countries who want to quickly search for something will be shown a simplified, AI-generated answer in response to their query with additional links to learn more about the relevant topic.
