Microsoft is bolstering security for Windows 11 users by making BitLocker encryption a default feature in the upcoming 24H2 update. This means that new devices and clean installations will automatically have their data encrypted, protecting them from unauthorised access on their disks. This may essentially mean that users may not have to purchase separate software to encrypt data.
