How a man stole Rs 3.5 lakh from a temple in China using QR code scam

A law graduate from a Chinese university has been arrested for alleged stealing of donation money from Buddhist temples across several provinces. According to a report by Beijing Youth Daily (cited by the South China Morning Post), the man, whose identity has not been revealed, managed to steal the funds by replacing the temples’ QR codes with one linked to his bank account.
