The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) ambitious push to mandate caller name display (CNAP) for all incoming calls reportedly appears to be facing significant technical challenges, casting doubt on its feasibility. In February, TRAI had asked telcos to ensure CNAP service on mobile phones.
