KRAFTON strengthens its global presence, acquires Tango Gameworks

KRAFTON, a South Korean video game publisher has acquired Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP. Reportedly, the makers of BGMI made their first significant investment in the Japanese video game market claiming to strengthen its global presence. It is mentioned in the report that, this strategic move will include tights to Tango Gameworks’ acclaimed IP, Hi-Fi RUSH.

As per a report by Statista, the video game market in Japan was estimated to be worth 1.66 trillion Japanese yen in FY2020. The market encompasses video game hardware, video game software, and social games. It is expected to reach a value of more than 1.9 trillion yen by FY2027.
