Paul Buchheit, the man said to be Gmail creator, seems to be not too happy with the way Google went over the last few years. According to a report in Business Insider, Buchheit appears to believe that Google may have lost its way somewhere and that is the reason it is not doing that well in the AI space. In a recent episode of the Y Combinator Startup podcast, Buchheit said that Google’s AI focus shifted after reorganizing under Alphabet in 2015.
