Airtel may tread overseas after 2-3 yrs of India focus: Sunil Mittal

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel, India’s second ranked telco, will not shy away from availing global investment opportunities in future but for the coming two-three years, the company will be focusing on building in India, Bharti Enterprises chairman Sunil Mittal said Monday.
Speaking to reporters after the Indian conglomerate announced its plan to buy 24.5% stake in UK’s telecom major BT Group, Mittal said Airtel will be focused for the next two-three to roll out 5G, fill gaps of 4G, laying more fibre, fixed wireless access (FWA) rollout, enterprise businesses and more data centers.
