How this ‘China ban’ may be behind e-SIMs not becoming ‘popular’ in India

The adoption rate of virtual SIMs or eSIMs in India has been rather slow — for both retail and enterprise users — despite the advantages they offer. According to industry experts, this is primarily attributed to a Chinese government policy that has discouraged its use. The three biggest telecom operators in India — Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone-Idea — have supported e-SIM features almost for years now.
