Google DeepMind researchers have created a robot capable of playing table tennis at a solid amateur level, marking a significant advancement in robotics and artificial intelligence. The robot, featuring a 6 DoF ABB 1100 arm mounted on linear gantries, won 45% of its matches against human players of varying skill levels.
