NEW DELHI: India’s wearables market declined for the first time, by 10% year-on-year to 25.9 million units in the second quarter (Q2) of 2024, according to an International Data Corporation (IDC) report released on Thursday.
The research firm attributed the decline to vendors’ cautious stocking of inventory with a focus on clearing the old stock before the commencement of the festive season and fewer new launches, as well as, falling demand for smartwatches.
