India’s strength is its human resource: MeitY Secretary

“The provisions in the Union Budget are a big opportunity for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). There is a significant increase in the provisions for key sectors, including semiconductors, AI and other areas, where we need to push forward.

“The outlays proposed in the budget for various projects being handled by MeitY present us with an opportunity for growth and development in the areas of electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, research & development and also in IT and ITeS sectors. We have the opportunity to increase electronics and software manufacturing in India, not only for domestic consumption but also for exports. There is also the opportunity to have a significant rise in direct and indirect employment.”
