Sony launches PlayStation Portal in India, brings PS5 gaming to your hands — but at what cost?

Sony has officially launched the PlayStation Portal in India, nearly nine months after its global debut. Priced at Rs 18,990, the PlayStation Portal is designed specifically for streaming games via Wi-Fi from a PlayStation 5, making it essential for users to already own Sony’s high-end console.

The PlayStation Portal hardware merges an eight-inch LCD with the familiar layout of a DualSense controller. This laminated screen offers a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of up to 60Hz. The device supports Wi-Fi 5 for seamless connectivity and is powered by a 4,370mAh non-removable battery, charged via USB-C. Additionally, it features stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack for a complete audio experience.
