Byju’s finally leaves its BCCI troubles behind; but there’s a ‘warning’

Edtech giant Byju’s has secured a major reprieve after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) today (August 2) overturned an insolvency order against the company. The decision came following a settlement with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) over a disputed sponsorship deal worth Rs 158 crore.
The NCLT had initiated insolvency proceedings against Byju’s in July after the BCCI filed a petition alleging default on the sponsorship payment.
