US may ban Micron, SK Hynix and other companies from selling these advanced AI chips to China

The Biden administration is planning to unveil new rules this month that would significantly limit China’s access to advanced artificial intelligence chips and semiconductor manufacturing equipment, according to sources familiar with the matter.
The proposed measures aim to prevent Chinese firms from obtaining cutting-edge high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips crucial for complex AI systems, as well as the tools needed to produce such chips domestically.
