Infosys gets strong support from NASSCOM

Nasscom has expressed deep concern over the Rs 32,403 crore GST demand levied on Infosys, arguing that it reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of the IT industry’s operating model. The industry body warned that such actions could lead to avoidable litigation, investor uncertainty, and damage India’s reputation as a business-friendly destination.
“Recent media reports of a GST demand of over Rs 320 billion (Rs 32,403 crore) reflects a lack of understanding of the industry’s operating model.
