OnePlus founder Pete Lau has said that the company is working on exploring ways where a fingerprint sensor can be used in more ways than just a tool for biometric ID to unlock phones and approve payments. In a post on X, he said that the company is working on how to detect nuanced data like finger angle, pressure and movement trajectories.
