Annual telco investment into Open RAN to reach $11 bn in 2029: Juniper Research

NEW DELHI: The annual telecom operator investment into Open Radio Access Network (Open RAN) will reach $11 billion in 2029, rising from $2 billion in 2024, as the focus on network efficiency grows, according to the latest report released by Juniper Research on Monday.

“This culmination of nearly $40 billion of global investment into AI network automation by 2029 will be driven by the need to cater for increasing cellular connections and data,” the research firm said in its study.
