Olympics 2024: French cybercrimes team called in to ‘protect’ Israeli athletes after data leak

French authorities are racing to protect Israeli athletes competing in the Paris Olympics after a wave of cyberattacks targeted their personal information. Sensitive data about Israeli athletes has been leaked online in what is believed to be a coordinated doxing attack. Publication of personal details online with malicious intent is called Doxing. The doxing activity was reported to Pharos, which is part of France’s Anti-Cybercrime Office (OFAC).
