Govt invites bids from project management companies to oversee semiconductor work under ISM

The government has invited bids from project management companies and joint-venture to run and manage the operations of the India Semiconductor Mission and its aspects such as technological and financial arrangements of the bidders, vetting of proposed technology arrangements, their technology transfer roadmap and ensuring the project is completed on time.

In its bid, the ministry of electronics and information technology has said that the project management company will also be responsible for the estimation of the financial aspects of the project, overall project cost and monitoring the details of the actual expenditure in items such as plant, machinery, clean rooms, equipment and associated units.
