ChatGPT maker OpenAI may exhaust all its money in a year

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT, is projected to lose up to $5 billion in 2024 and could deplete its cash reserves within a year, according to a report by The Information. The AI giant’s spending on training and inference is expected to reach $7 billion this year, far outpacing its revenue.
The company’s massive expenditure includes nearly $4 billion on Microsoft’s servers for ChatGPT inference workloads and up to $3 billion for training new AI models.
