Why Samsung has disabled app sideloading on its latest Galaxy foldables

Samsung has released its latest foldable smartphones with updated designs, hardware, Galaxy AI features, and new safety features. These are the company’s first smartphones to disable app sideloading by default.

According to a report by Android Authority, the Galaxy Z Flip6 and the Z Fold6, running on OneUI 6.1.1 based on Android 14, are equipped with a feature called Auto Blocker, which prevents users from sideloading Android APKs.
