Employment-linked incentive schemes to create talent in $500 bn electronics manufacturing ecosystem

New Delhi: The employment-linked incentive schemes announced in the budget will create a surge of fresh hands in the $500-billion electronics manufacturing ecosystem being targeted by 2030 in India, industry executives said.

But they said they have sought clarity whether the benefits will also extend to contractual employees, as the majority of original equipment makers (OEMs) appoint third-party staffing firms to hire employees.
