After recent tariff hike, Jio ARPU to get boost: Analysts

Kolkata: Reliance Jio’s strong net profit growth in the fiscal first quarter was driven by a combination of lower-than-expected depreciation & amortisation (D&A) costs and higher margins on the back of reduced network costs caused by a moderation in 5G capex spends, analysts said.

Going forward, analysts expect the recent headline tariff hike to give Mukesh Ambani-led Jio’s stagnant ARPU (average revenue per user) a much needed boost in coming quarters.
