Microsoft outage: Windows PCs, IT systems hit; users get ‘blue screen’ errors

Multiple services and products across domains including airlines, hotels and other office establishments remained impacted globally early on Friday due to the Blue screen of death error on most Microsoft Windows devices, sources said.

Users were unable to log into their systems as their devices crashed after being switched on. Sources said that the issue is likely to due a recent update from CrowdStrike, a US-based cybersecurity company which provides endpoint security to several organisations globally.
