Government issues draft adjudication and appeal rules under Telecommunications Act

An adjudication officer appointed by the government can take action against a person, either suo moto or because of a complaint, for violating the conditions of authorisation or assignment mechanism. The officer has been empowered to issue a notice to such person and based on the response, action would be taken.

The provisions are part of the draft adjudication and appeal rules notified under the Telecommunications Act. The rules will come into force after 30 days.
