CommScope to sell outdoor wireless networks, DAS business to Amphenol for $2.1 bn

NEW DELHI: American network connectivity gear maker Commscope is selling its Outdoor Wireless Networks (OWN) and the Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) business units to antenna and fiber gear vendor Amphenol Corporation in a $2.1 billion deal.

OWN provides wireless infrastructure for mobile networks, including macro and small cell site solutions. The DAS business provides solutions for the cellular infrastructure inside venues, campuses and enterprises.
