Tata Group signs lease agreement with Assam government to setup Rs 27,000 crore semiconductor unit

Tata Group has inked a 60-year lease agreement with the Assam government to build a semiconductor facility at Jagiroad in Morigaon district. According to the news agency PTI, the agreement was finalised at the sub-registrar’s office by Tata Group Board member Ranjan Bandopadhyay and Assam Industrial Development Corporation’s (AIDC) manager (tech) and project in-charge Dhiraj Pegu.
