Prasar Bharati calls for applications to allocate MPEG-4 Slots on DD Freedish DTH

Prasar Bharati has initiated the process for the allocation of vacant MPEG-4 slots on the DD Freedish DTH platform, aiming for operations from 1st August 2024 to 21st March 2025.

Scheduled tentatively for 24th July 2024, the 80th e-auction is open to channels across all genres and languages. A reserve price of Rs 1,34,49,000 has been set for these slots, in accordance with the e-auction methodology outlined by Prasar Bharati on 27th January 2023, with amendments dated 13th December 2023.

Interested broadcasters can find detailed information on the auction process on the Prasar Bharati website. To participate, applicants must apply online and upload the required documents as specified. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 25,000 is payable online, and a participation fee of Rs 10,00,000 is required via demand draft.

Following the e-auction, unsuccessful bidders will receive a refund of the participation fee within three weeks of the auction results. Successful bidders will be issued a ‘Letter of Allotment’ by Prasar Bharati.
