New WhatsApp update lets users set up ‘Favourites’ list for quick access

WhatsApp is introducing a way for users to easily find the people and groups that matter to them. On Tuesday, July 16, the popular instant messaging platform announced that WhatsApp users will be able to mark their contacts or groups as ‘favourites’.

By adding them to their ‘favourites’ list, users will be able to filter out those chats from the rest of their contacts on the chat screen. The favourites filter has also been extended to the calls tab on WhatsApp so that users can speed dial their family or friends.
