Big Basket employees booked in Mumbai for defrauding company of nearly Rs 80 lakh

Two employees of online shopping platform Big Basket have been booked by the Mumbai police for allegedly duping the company of nearly Rs 80 lakh by submitting inflated bills. The FIR was registered based on a complaint by the company.

The duo would allegedly ask companies providing vehicles used for delivery to submit inflated bills and get them authorised. Investigating officer assistant inspector Avinash Nadvinkeri said, “So far, no arrests have been made. We are checking if anyone else is involved in the fraud. Investigations are ongoing.”
