Ericsson, Oppo sign global patent cross-license deal on 5G, mobile technologies

NEW DELHI: Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson and Chinese handset maker Oppo on Monday signed a multi-year global cross-license agreement covering patents essential to standards for cellular technologies, including 5G.

As a result of this cross-license agreement, Oppo will make royalty payments to Ericsson.
