ITI Limited gets Rs 71.4-crore work order from DoT for assessing telco sites under USOF
NEW DELHI: State-run ITI Limited has received a 10-year work order of Rs 71.4 crores from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for conducting third-party assessment (TPA) of sites installed under various agreements signed between the Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF) and Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, Bharti Hexacom, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
“The ITI hereby agrees and undertakes to carry out TPA work for the sites installed under various agreements signed by USOF with M/s BHL/BAL/RJIL/BSNL for provisioning of mobile services in uncovered villages under various schemes as mentioned in the work order and the Administrator, in consideration of the ITI having agreed to carry out this TPA work, does hereby agree to pay the charges to ITI, in accordance with this agreement,” the work order states.
