Xiaomi celebrates 10th anniversary in India by showcasing its first electric car SU7
On Tuesday, at an event held in Bengaluru, Xiaomi celebrated its 10th anniversary in India in style by showcasing its first car — the Xiaomi SU7, an electric vehicle with up to 673 ps of power. However, the brand confirmed that the Xiaomi SU7 will not be available for sale anytime soon in India, and the product was imported to India solely for showcasing.
Xiaomi entered India in 2014 with the launch of the Mi 3, the company’s flagship smartphone of that time for Rs 14,999, which was further reduced to Rs 13,999 and was available exclusively on Flipkart via flash sale. In the last 10 years, the company claims to have shipped 250 million smartphones in India and has shipped over 350 million devices, which include accessories, IoT, and lifestyle devices.
